Recently some of the world’s biggest technology companies have cut their ethics teams, which raises a rather uncomfortable question: is ethics a luxury or an essential? In this talk we'll explore how companies can use ethics to protect against risk, build stronger relationships, and differentiate themselves in the market. We’ll contrast this with what happens when companies neglect ethics and only do the bare minimum as required by law. We’ll end by looking to the future of technology and business ethics, including new risks on the horizon as well as reasons to be hopeful.
